A few swear words too. - Practice games: our science does one-to-one coaching with your mind, while you have fun with Speed Review, Listening Skills, Difficult Words and Classic Review. - Improve your pronunciation: so when you say 'beaucoup' (a lot) you never accidentally say it 'beau cul' (nice ass). Record yourself and our smart tech will tell you if you got it right or need to try again. - Learn anywhere: download your course to learn in places that don't have signal and seem to be stuck in the 80s. - Build an entertaining habit: learn as much or as little as you want. • Just use the website or Duolingo

    By ZotDudot7
For whatever absurd reason, in this app you are only given access (VERY limited, at that) to the first two levels, after which you have to subscribe to make any use of the other levels (you can view/hear some individual terms/phrases in later levels but not practice any of them). The website itself offers much much more and is recommended, especially if you have created an account via this app and are disappointed at the dead end you soon reach about fifteen minutes in. If you are looking for more vocabulary and levels for a couple of dozen languages, I urge you to give the Duolingo app a try. The voices which read the terms and sentences in the chosen language are computer generated but there are more terms/exercises and while Duolingo, too, offers a paid subscription, the app gives you so much more material (with a FREE account).
  • User courses gone

    By Eli_Nathaniel
I used memrise when I was studying for the GRE. I attribute the platform to getting a high verbal score, helping me get into highly ranked schools. I hadn’t used it in a while since being in school, but Memrise was then my first go-to when I decided to get back into practice with my Tagalog skill. I was dismayed to see that user-created courses are no longer available within the mobile app. A lot of the functions that made it such a strong platform seem to be lacking now.
  • Don't use for Arabic

    By Bond314
While the app may be useful for other languages, the Arabic lessons are useless and often wrong. Edit: to give an example, the app will show you an English letter and you are expected to pick the Arabic character that makes that sound. However, often you are marked wrong even if you choose the correct character. Also, the answer choices for these lessons include several semicolons for no apparent reason. It's confusing and wrong.

Very good app really helped my italian and french!🤗🤗
  • Mexico Spanish doesn’t work in explore

    By nanaki0888
Only negative I have is the subject line. It just says things in English. I haven’t tried other languages though. Also if there is any chance we could have a record audio section so we can listen to the modules while we drive that would be amazing.
  • No sound!

I haven’t any sound. I tried reinstalling but the same thing is happening.
  • Unsubscribed but still charged

    By Madselise
I subscribed to this and after about six months I decided it wasn’t worth my time and I had found a better app that worked for me. I unsubscribed following the instructions that the website and the app told me to use. Six months later I was charged for a yearly subscription once again. I’ve reached out to customer service twice and haven’t heard anything PLUS I still have not been taken off the subscription list. Honestly it feels like a scam. Absolutely NOT worth the time or the money
  • Love it

Its a good app but i wish you didnt have to pay
  • Superb!

    By Dani&Khan
This app is great. It emphasizes all the aspects of learning a new language!
  • Looks awful

    By The Real Darth Anus
I was so close to buying a year subscription and the very day before I planned to, they changed the layout from a fun purple space look to this ugly taxi puke color... They also insulted all the users that previously got the app specifically because it was easy on the eyes by saying it was not “mature”. Just like TV Time, I know they won’t change their app back. Just saying how disappointed I am that I had to learn a language another way.
