  • A big step backwards

    By haolegringo
I got a lot of great use with this app four years ago, and returned to tackle a different language. Unfortunately, the app has been redesigned. It might work properly on an iPad, but on iPhone the buttons don't work properly, the words in the lesson are too tiny to read, and it only works in landscape orientation (which makes it tougher to hold the phone). I'm disappointed, the old app worked great and I learned a lot. The new one offers only a frustrating experience, to the point I requested a refund. Get back to better UX Rosetta Stone! Call me when the app works again. Update: noticed the dev responds to reviews now, and that the redesigned app is apparently buggy and buggier still. Why not return to the now six year old version, which worked quite well? I know I personally will not resume my rosetta subscriptions until these continuing app issues are resolved Response to dev: are you returning portrait orientation to the app? That’s the number one change I am waiting for.

It happens a lot of time which finished tasks still Shaw as skipped or not seen and when I doing the listening or speaking practices it often atomically skip a few sections in each task.

  • Disappointed

I want to learn French and it started alright but then it would not tell me what the words it was having me work on meant so it was not helpful and it also started to glitch when I tried to have help on getting a translation so I had to completely close out of the app! I do not recommend this it is not good for learning a new language and it likes to glitch and also do not buy the full version it will be a waste of money! I would give this 0 stars if I could!
  • New update is horrible and makes parts of the app unusable

    By z013579
The new update makes speaking and pronunciation nearly impossible. The app doesn’t recognize anything. This is too expensive to screw up given the price of a subscription. Please fix it.

I love it. Has so many modes of learning
  • Voice recognition frequently ignores you

    By Director_X
Other than voice recognition not picking up anything I’m saying about 40% of the time, it’s a good app.
  • Works great for me

    By Powboyz
Trying Duolingo for a few months first, it just does not work for me and is pretty silly compared to RS. Let’s hope I can stick with it... Ciao!

I have tried many times in the past two were in Spanish. I was never successful. With Rosetta Stone, I actually remember what I have learned. Great program!
